New York is waiting for the Holy Father

New York is waiting for the Holy Father

Today I decided to check a few sites which Pope Francis is going to visit in 2 days on his first trip to New York.

These are three of the six places Pope Francis will visit in NYC:

On September 24th @ 6:45 pm Pope will hold an evening prayer service at St. Patrick's Cathedral.

I was surprised that there were not many people at the Cathedral. But those who came wanted to catch the glimpse of this majestic masterpiece before it will be packed on Thursday.

On Friday , September 25th at 11:30 am - a multi religious service is held at the  9/11 Memorial Museum.

On Sept. 22nd it was quiet, not many people, and could't even see the police. Only regular patrol cars.

On Friday , September 25th  @ 6 pm Mass is help in Madison Square Garden.

I did not see anything unusual from outside. It was usual evening, 7 pm - people are rushing home. One visible addition to the landscape of Big Apple - big and heavy while blocks with NYPD logo on them placed in certain areas along the roads. They will be used to block streets and stop cars.

The other three places Pope Francis will visit on his trip to NYC are Our Lady Queen of Angels School, Central Park and the United Nations

Stay tuned for more news from NYC about Pope Francis's visit.
