1:30 Family Fiesta of Song, Dance, and Crafts
Interactive concert with Mexican and Ukrainian singers, dancers, musicians.
Ukrainian craft and activity workshop: try an instrument, make a headdress, a doll, a model of a Cossak submarine, jewelry, paint a Pysanka (Ukrainian Easter egg), try on traditional costumes, learn a Ukrainian song or dance, play an exotic instrument, make and buy beautiful gifts. (Small materials fee for some projects.) Refreshments will be available. Door prizes!We invite you to give a sweater or jacket, blanket or sleeping bag. Winters are cold!
3:00 Craft Workshop: make a model of a Cossak submarine, a wreath or jewelry, paint an Easter egg, try on costumes, learn a song or dance, make and buy beautiful Christmas gifts.
Price: $5 adult, $2 children under 16.
Saturday, November 8
7:30 Ukrainian Concert Banquet in the traditional style with wine and horilka (vodka) in the company of officials, musicians, and artists. Home-cooked from recipes directly from Ukraine.Live Ukrainian music in a variety of traditions. Dance to wedding music into the night.Artists and craftspeople will offer beautiful Ukrainian inspired items and traditional Ukrainian foods perfect for Christmas giving. All displayed art available for purchase.Silent auction and door prizes. Ukrainian costume or festive clothing encouraged.
Advance sales only: $65 general, $50 for 65+, $40 for students.
Table with preferred seating for six: $350, for eight: $500. Purchase tickets by November 4.
Festival pass: Art opening Friday evening through Family Concert and Workshop Saturday afternoon and Dinner Concert Saturday evening with premium seating for all events: $85 general, $60 for students and 65+. Advance purchase only.
