Florida installs memorial plaque to honour Ukrainian soldiers killed in Donbas
Ukrainian diaspora in Florida commemorated Ukrainian servicemen who were killed during the war with Russian-controlled separatists
Ukrainian diaspora community of the city of St. Petersburg (Florida, USA) during the celebrations on 25th Independence Day of Ukraine opened the memorial plaque to fallen Ukrainian soldiers of Anti-terrorist operation in Donbas. UkrainianMinistry of Defense published the photos from of the ceremony.
The event was attended by representatives of the Ukrainian diaspora in the US, Veterans Union of the US Army soldiers of Ukrainian origin, military from Germany, France, Canada, Poland, Georgia, Turkey and Italy. The priests of several confessions held a religious service. The honor to open the memory plaque was given to the guest from the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Event ended with a concert of the choir of Ukrainian diaspora in the US and some other musicians.
Servicemen of Ukrainian Army, who are undergoing training in the Central Command of the United States (US Air Force base ‘MacDill', Florida) also organized celebration of the 25th anniversary of Ukraine's Independence last week. Soldiers presented known Ukrainian dishes and invited representatives of the Central Command and troops of other countries.
