Ukrainian in Toronto: 10 neighbourhoods where you're likely to hear it
The pockets of the city where Ukrainian is spoken tend to be located in the city's west end.
According to the 2011 census, in five of Toronto's neighbourhoods, it's the most popular Mother Tongue listed after English.
Based on that census data, here are the top 10 Toronto neighbourhoods where Ukrainian is noted as a Mother Tongue. These rankings are based on the number of speakers. Most (but not all) of the neighborhoods are in Etobicoke.

3. Edenbridge-Humber Valley (Etobicoke): 805
4. Eringate-Centennial-West Deane (Etobicoke): 780
5. Humber Heights-Westmount (Etobicoke): 745
6. Mimico (Etobicoke): 600
7. High Park-Swansea (Bloor West): 565
8. High Park North (Bloor West): 530
9. Willowridge-Martingrove-Richview (Etobicoke): 500
10. Markland Wood (Etobicoke): 415
NOTE: In three other Toronto neighbourhoods (Kingsway South, Runnymede-Bloor West Village, Lambton-Baby Point), the number of people listing Ukrainian as a Home Language was more than any other language except for English.
