Ukrainian passport was more valuable than Russian

The value of a Russian passport for the year has risen to three lines — up to the 48th place in the ranking of Henley&Partnerts. “The index of passports” shows the number of States that citizens can visit without a visa. The Russians thus can go in 110 countries, brinkwire reports.

Among the States of the former USSR Russia shares second place with Moldova. First, they came from the Ukraine citizens can visit without a visa for 114 countries. In 2017, Kyiv and the EU agreed on a visa-free regime, the Ukrainian passport has risen in the ranking by 14 positions and occupies the 44th place.

In General in the first place is Germany, its citizens have the right to travel without a visa in 177 countries. In second place — Singapore (176 countries). Third place is shared by Denmark, Finland, France, Italy, Japan, Norway, Sweden and the United Kingdom (175). On the fourth line are Austria, Belgium, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Switzerland, and Spain (174).

The U.S. passport is in the index on the fifth place. This year the Americans have the right to visit without a visa to 173 countries.

The last place in the ranking went to Afghanistan, citizens of which opened visa-free access only in 24 States.

Visa-free regime between the EU and Ukraine started to operate June 11, 2017. Ukrainians can stay in the Schengen area not exceeding 90 days within half a year. Thus they have no right to work or study in Europe.
